The work is a modification of two original Australian oil paintings from 1996 (a landscape and a still life) by Elda Serdoz which were purchased from eBay. It is made by sanding the original paintings, collecting the paint particles and reconstituting the particles into new oil paint. The paint is reapplied to the voids left from sanding and then the works are placed back into their original frames. Two genres of painting, landscape and still life, are remixed into monochromes.
