Gregory and Watts at MCA ArtBar is a collaborative project with Oliver Watts. On being invited to produce a work for the MCA ArtBar Gregory and Watts sent more attractive body doubles to mingle with the fashionable crowd. They produced an audio guide of the notion of an “ArtBar” discussing how friendship, spectatorship, gesture and identity make the event of an “art” and “bar” an exemplary contemporary cultural phenomenon. The models performing Gregory and Watts provided the MCA with the perfect “artists,” capable of projecting a smooth background while also offering privileged access to the “attractive” body of the artist.
